Aluminum-coated steel (ACS) wire surfaces have surface deformations such as scratches caused by the wire pulling process. These scratches reduce the material's life due to galvanic corrosion. Because the surface of the ACS wires is bright, and because the lubricants used in the wire drawing process cover the surface, it is difficult to detect defects. The systems that detect these deformations are based on input current and inspection systems. The sensors to be used for the measurement system also differ because the conductivity and diameter of the wires to be tested vary. Therefore, sensors are needed that can precisely measure each wire diameter. The project concerns the manufacture of a voltage-controlled automatic coil wrapping machine, which will produce sensors with the desired induction value and will be able to inspect different ACS wires, and which will be capable of reversing and calculating the sensor parameters using software.
